The Solution

The RCS point of sale runs seamlessly on Hardy’s Avery Berkel (c) weighing scales as well as standard PC based tills (with optional scale attached). Stocktaking can be performed on the Avery Berkel scales allowing for products to be weighed during the stocktake process. The Avery Berkel scales also run the Verifone chip and pin solution.

Store orders are either produced via an automated stock control system, or uploaded from the stores from spreadsheets.

Stock holding in the warehouse and stores has been decreased without affectng the supply chain. There is less waste and extremely accurate stock figures for Hardy’s management team to make decisions.

Significant use of hand held terminals within the stores and warehouse results in an efficient operation from supply to distribution.

Hardys also produce their own range of confectionery which is out-sourced. The production of these products, including the stock control of the raw ingredients is managed through the RCS production control bill of material management system.

The mail order business is controlled and managed from the RCS customer ordering system, allowing customer orders to be picked by warehouse and managing payments.
