Roys of Wroxham Ltd (Roys) are an independent family owned company based in Wroxham near Norwich. Roys employ approximately 1,000 members of staff; operate 2 distribution centres supplying 14 retail outlets over 7 geographic sites. The Wroxham sites are unique and have 7 individual retail businesses operating within a small geographic area.

Roys are a member of the food buying group NISA Today’s, in addition Roy’s are a member of the non-food buying group AIS.

RCS have supplied Roys with a total one stop solution encompassing:

·        Software – Head Office, Warehouse Management and EPoS.

·        Serviceware – Project Management, Consultancy, Training, Support and Maintenance and   Installation.

·        Hardware – Server(s), PC’s, EPoS, Hand Held Terminals.

Systems.

RCS have supplied Roy’s with a fully integrated system that operates throughout their Mixed Retail business. One of the main attributes of the RCS epos solution is the ability to manage and report at product level and also at style colour, size level for fashion based products. 

The installation of a VPN Network throughout the organisation ensures that all store locations are online at all times, sales data is updated onto the head office system, therefore providing merchandisers and management with up-to-date information across the whole business.

Hand Held Terminals (HHT’s) are used extensively in-store and in the warehouse for stock takes, PI counts, Price Checking, Goods Receipt, IBT Transfers, Order Entry and Shelf Edge Label Reprints.

The systems supplied by RCS operate in Microsoft Windows and utilise Microsoft SQL.

Head Office.

Roys control their business centrally from their head office in Wroxham. They manage the business using Streetwise, RCS’s Central Merchandise Management and Warehouse Management Systems. 

The central system manages 600,000 sku’s and processes up to 30,000 sales transactions per night. Retail outlets are replenished daily from Roys distribution centres.

The RCS epos system provides in depth functionality for both food and non-food retailing, including style, colour and size product management.

Warehouse(s) Management.

Streetwise Head Office is directly linked to the Warehouse Management system. Providing multiple warehouse(s) management together with optional voice picking and RF functions, the warehouse system is operational in many well know retailers including Boots the Chemist and Cool Trader (Iceland Group).

Stores.

Stores have access to up-to-date product availability throughout the organisation via the VPN. RCS have installed EPoS systems in each Roys locations; each EPoS system uses RCS-PoS and Chip & Pin.
